Mrs. Beatty graduated with a science degree from the University of Michigan. She worked in a publishing house in downtown Detroit editing and writing science articles. She led an 18 person expedition to Glacier National Park to repair trails. She married and moved to NC raising 2 children in WCPSS schools. In 2007 she earned her Teaching Certificate from NC State and also completed Masters courses in Counseling.
Her favorite things to do are travel, swim, mentor and explore natural wonders.
